GOODWILL THIEVES
Just went by to get out of the house and drop off a bag of clothes and there was a big Ford SUV, an adult male and a kid picking through the pile off stuff by the door and loading it into the truck [V]
Since it's Christmas I didn't follow them to get the plate number.

Sad but I know what you mean. Our local Goodwill and Salvation Army stores now have cameras by their drop off areas [V]. 0 -
After the fact, I witnessed shop lifters stealing about $200.00 worth of stuff from the local Dollar store. I went inside to tell the manager and he was in disbelief. I told him to go look at his surveilance cameras. I gave him a description of the two women. 0 -

Same problem here.We used to give all our misshapen and day old bread to the shelter, but people figured that out. When the owner of the company say a person in a Mercedes going through the bread, he quite sending the bread. We will find a way to get it to those on need, haven't yet. 0 -

Indianapolis has an agency called Second Helpings that does nothing but redistribute stale bread and banquet/restaurant leftovers to the various shelters and soup kitchens.0 -

Considering that a tax write-off is still a tax write-off regardless if the recipient drives a Mercedes or a Saturn, what difference does it make? Does the boss prefer to throw the bread in the garbage rather than feed someone?0 -

I just left Indy last spring and I used to know an old guy who collected for a food rescue program like this, but I don't think it was called Second Helpings.0 -

You should've called 911, reported a robbery in progress to a goodwill drop-off box, followed them till the police started a high speed rolling pursuit thru downtown, a Felony stop then a tazzer too both of them!
