What gun do you REGRET Selling?
Mine is a .22 pump action... I don't even remember what brand it was... it didn't have a hammer... it could take .22 shorts, longs, and long rifles... man, what a fun gun that was... had so much fun plinking with it, but I needed money in college and sold it. Yeah, I could find out what it was and buy another, but it's not the SAME gun that I had then. [V]

i did sell a hi-point once, but you asked which ones we regretted, so never mind. 0 -
I traded a Savage 99 in .358 Win for a Ruger 77 in 30-06. Dumbest move I have ever made. I was young and stupid and just had to have a 30-06. Being that I was newly married and only an E-4 at the time, it would have taken me about a year to save up for it, so I traded for it.
A 99 in .358 in the condition that mine was in is worth about $1300 today, but I wish I could have it back just for the sentimental value.
I ended up selling the '06 a few years later to get something else.0 -
At some time I have wished I had not parted with all I let go.
The only exception are those that I gave to daughter and family.0 -

all of them, but especially the Desert Eagle .50, it was an even trade though, not a sale... I picked up a Rem700 chambered in .25 Gibbs for it, with a 3'' think barrel and bench rest shootin stock, with a 24x leupold scope. I thought I was going to get serious about reloading at the time... 0 -

...I'm not sure I regret selling any gun Ive ever sold, there was a reason I sold it. Ive never sold a gun because I "needed" to sell it. Guns I won't sell...the Beretta my Dad bought me, first gun...and any Colt I own.

I've never sold a gun, and won't. I've never bought anything though that I didn't already know what I was getting. The 3" XD 40 was the one I had had the least experience with when I bought it in '04, and if you've read any of my posts about it, you know how I feel. I regret my dad selling some of his guns when I was too young to know what he was doing. Nickel Colt Python...beautiful gun. TC Contender (44 magnum) that "jumped" out of my hands and almost hit me in the head. I was probably 10 years old and wearing winter gloves (NE Ohio) and told him I should take them off so I could hold it better. He said "just hang on." it flipped over my shoulder. I shot it two more times that day with the gloves off and held on. 0 -
I regret every one I've sold (even the Hi-Point -- no, I gave that one away. Honestly). But the saddest story was the very first gun I ever owned, an original 1860 Colt Army with all-matching serial nos. Got it from my grandmother when I was 14. My future ex-wife made me sell it 10 years later, a long time ago. Went for pennies. Sad. 0 -
I regret selling an Enfield 303 and an Browning sweet 16. wish I still had them however I took the money at the time and got a really nice Winchester 71 made in 1936, so the end result is still good. 0 -
Had a Remington 673 in .350 Remington Magnum that I got rid of a little while back. Wish I hadn't gotten rid of it.

An old 3-screw Ruger Blackhawk, .357 Magnum, 4 5/8" barrel, that hadn't been upgraded to the transfer bar setup. I made a slight miscalculation in my checking account that forced me to sell SOMETHING that would bring in a few hundred dollars, and that was what I had that a very nice lady with the money and a gun-loving husband was willing to buy.
I gave away a 1964 Winchester Model 70, .30-06, that was ugly as sin but shot more accurately with a greater variety of ammo than any gun I've owned before or since. The recipient, a good friend of my brother's, had just suffered a death in his family -- on Christmas Day, no less -- and I'd been given a brand-new Remington Model 700. On impulse I gave the '06 to my brother's buddy, knowing he'd been wanting a good rifle for a long time. He pawned it within two months. The only act of charity I've ever regretted....0 -
