Sako 85 magazine fault
Just wondering if any one else out there has purchased a Sako 85 synthetic stainless rifle. I purchased one December 2006 and took it hunting April 07 only to find that the magazine had a loud rattle. This rattle was being caused by the under lying bullets in the mag moving back and forward hitting the ends of the mag when you moved the rifle around. Having a bit of a battle with Beretta New Zealand over this problem and wanted to know if any one else has had the same problem. My understanding is it happens in the .270 and 30-06 calibres. Be very interested to know if any other calibres have the same problem in your part of the world. Rgds

...Two words....duct tape, kidding and welcome.
...I had a custom rifle Sako action/Shilen barrel years ago in 06, don't remember exactly which one, sorry. I did not have any problems at all with it, nice all around rifle....sold it and went to Browning.
...Weak spring (maybe) not holding your rounds tight?...[;)]

Thanks colt, not sure what the prob was but they sent it to a local gunsmith who fixed the rattle but created another in that the magazine will not click into the rifle now unless the bolt is open. 0
