Flachettes?
There was a post on here a few days ago where a gentlemen was talking about shotgun shells and he referred to some as Flachettes and was talking about an armor piercing slug and what not.I asked the question on that post but no one responded.If anyone here can answer this what is a Flachette Shotgun Round because I have definately never heard of one.I remember seeing some shotgun shells a long time ago that acted like a Flame Thrower and shot out maybe a 100 yard flame but what is a Flachette round about?

A flechette round shoots darts out of an artillery round. We used them early in Viet Nam until the Geneva Convention groups got pissed with the number of Dinks stuck into trees that were hard to tear down.
The French body disposal groups got carpal tunnel syndrome and cried a river.0 -

I have those in 12 ga. They are pretty nasty at close range but the farther they fly the more they spread.
