Completely positive it will miss Denver.

So, what's the prize for winning? A Colt?

  • jonk
    Well it won't be Cleveland.

I don't wish anyone harm, but if it hits a major city, if ANY hurricane hits a major city, I hope it is New orleans. If it gets pounded into rubble enough times maybe the stupid denizens living there below the water line will wake up and move to high ground. As I understand it the old city is on high enough ground not to get obliterated, but the rest can rot so far as I care.

Grew up on the Tx coast Corpus Christi to be exact.. Had one come thru there in 1970 (year before I was born) 1980 and that is it.. So they are long overdue.. I have a hunch it will go in there. Which is not so good.. I got tons of family still down there.

For all that take pleasure in wishing suffering on a certain area, I say shame on you.
It is one thing to make an educated guess about something, it is something else to wish it to happen.

I have been reading this forum for over a year. I have learned a lot from all of you, and I've found a lot of fun and wisdom here.
I am 53 years old. I have maybe 30 firearms.
I have lived in New Orleans for 53 years.
My family and all of my friends are here.
I wouldn't live any where else.
I made it through Katrina fine as did 90% of the people in the area.
    You didn't hear about us.
You only considered what CNN showed you.
40 to 50% of all the nation's energy passes through New Orleans.
In the war between the States, the first order of business for the North was to capture New Orleans and keep it.
If there wasn't a New Orleans, they would have to make one.
The people here have gone through more misery than any other city, the exception maybe San Francisco in 1906.
I am not sure any one ever said S.F. should move.
But some of you, whom I have respected from previous posts, say New Orleans should be devastated again.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
You are too ignorant to even know what you do not know.
I hope you are safe in life.

    Empathize with you, Larry.

I live in the West Indies, doorway to Hurricane Alley.

Dean is going to miss us. So far, so good.

Why in the hell are we still hearing all the BULLS#!T after 2 years if 90% came through it just fine?????????????

    I'LL TELL YOU WHY!

75% of NO is nothing but a bunch of low life mootchers who want the FN world handed to them on a FN silver platter!!!!!!!!!!![:(]

I say to these people: Get off you lazy ASSES and do something for your goshdamnselves!

I have been to NO many times and have allways considered it to be one of the filthiest cities in this country with 95% of the people there who I would NEVER turn my back on!

And before everyone jumps my ARS over my comments, I am not saying all of the people in NO are this bad! Just most of them![;)]

    Get,
I like you and all, but your last post is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever heard.
Yes, NOLA has some trash and that trash is responsible for most of it's problems.
It does not take a large set to spout that kind of BS on a message board, but I say to you, visit the next gun show in the New Orleans area, Great Southern gun and knife show in Kenner, LA, and then tell me about New Orleans.
New Orleans, and the surrounding area, is full of hard working people trying to rebuild their lives and most are not asking for anything.
You lump everyone in New Orleans as someone with their handout and that is cr a p.

And like I said! It is not everyone from NO!

But I happen to live near one of the cities that happened to get a large portion of the NO refuges 2 years ago (Houston TX got the most but Charlotte got their fair share) and these people want a 100% free ride, acting like we owe them that free ride!

Every person who lives in a region that can get hit by a hurricane, earthquake, or any other natural disaster knows the risks of that region!

They have no business asking for hand outs when these things hit!

I am not saying that some aid is not in order! But the rest of us should not have to pay 100% of the bill for thier stupidity in living in that region if they are not prepaired to pay the consequences!

And I am not even totally going into the fact that it is pure stupidity to build a city right on the coast below sea level and expecting levee's to protect them 100%! Levee's can and do fail! I grew up in the central valley in California were we had the Delta region! Our levee's failed all the time without any hurricanes!

The people of NO need to get it through thier thick sculls that the rest of the country does not owe them CRAP because of a hurricane hitting them!

On NO overall. I've gone through there more times then I can count going offshore. Hands down it is the dirtest city I've seen in my life.

The people sent here to Houston from Katrina are the most worthless trash I've ever come in contact with. Dumb ignorant fools that take take take and give nothing back, much less being gratefull for Texans spending their money to help this trash. Our crime rates in Houston have shot up dramatically since we have taken this trash in. You say it only takes a small amount eh? I think Houston got 250,000? That is not a small amount for any city. I watch nightly on our local news as these pieces of trash murder and rape. Hell even their kids started a riot when they got to one of the local high schools shortly after getting here.

You're right most Louisiana people are hard working. When I'd go offshore and talk with folks from there all they talked about is drinking it seemed like. Quite a few times they would sit in the change room bragging how they beat the crap out of their wives. I don't trust coonasses and never will they usually are way to shady for my liking.

I've meet quality people from Louisiana, but I've met alot more that I wouldn't trust a bit. This is mostly people from southern Louisiana the northern (I-10 and north) folks seem like alright folks.
