Guys, me and my brother were driving thourgh CLEARwater yesterday just cruisin, not doing anything in particular. He says, Hey lets go look at the scientologists, i say, awesome! lets go. We go there, and he shows me their church. Guys, i kid you not, its got to be the biggest building in clearwater, had to cost 100-200 million dollars at the least! and across the street, they have living quarters, and theres a bridge that goes across the street from the living quarters to the church, about 30-40 feet in the air above the road. It was actually kind of scary driving through there. They have their own entire bus system, because for some reason they dont own cars. And from what i saw, all the young women are beautiful, i mean HOT. They all wear black pants, black tie, white collared shirt. They bought up the business' near their churchs and they dont do anything with them, they just drive out the bussiness men and women and leave the shops sit empty. There must have been 10-20 of them standing on the street corners with clipboards. I am seriously considering(well not completely seriously) thinking about infiltrating their little racket and see whats really up. but ive heard some horror stories about people leaving the "church". Guys, its scary down there, you feel like your being watched everywhere, its an occupation down there.

1911, i kind of figured thats what all the girls were for. Anyone know any websites that truly describe what they honestly believe? Ive seen the southpark where they explained it, but i dont know how true southpark is. lol.
Just wikipedied them, i have a better understanding of them now, but they are most definately a cult.

and it apears to still be working on you{lol}
south park pretty much nailed it down from what i have learned, i'll stick to what i do now, it's a little to freaky for me0 -
yea i think im gonna steer clear of those freaks. It just bugs me that they make their presence soo known. and it also bugs me that the people in the "Church" can just take the garbage they teach. They need to just believe in themselves. 0 -
i see what you mean, where do i join?

Scientology is about as crazy as any other religion. 0 -
I dont put my faith in anyone but myself. 0 -
Why do the ultra-wealthy Hollywierd types go for this??
I don't think they need Scientology to get the hotties
Cruise and Travolta..I wonder how much of their $$$ goes to this "Church" every year?0 -

They are a cult and you won't find anything about the inner workings of their organization until you become one of their BIG financial contributors. That way, they know you are serious. 0 -

"Van Espen's probe also concluded that Scientology's Brussels-based Europe office and its Belgian missions conducted unlawful practices in medicine, violated privacy laws and used illegal business contracts, said Lieve Pellens, a spokeswoman at the Federal Prosecutors Office.
"They also face charges of being ... a criminal organization," Pellens said in a telephone interview.
An administrative court will decide whether to press charges against the Scientologists. "
Criminal Organization- pretty much sums it up.
I hope Belgium sticks it to them.
I think those celebrities are in on whatever scheme the scientologists are cooking up, maybe they just get paid by the church- celebrity recruitment or something.
I'm not a fan of any religion, but this one ranks lowest with me, just a little lower than Islam, and way lower than most sects of Christianity.0 -

L Ron Hubbard was a drug crazed freak. Anyone who follows his teachings psychotic ramblings is either brain dead, in it for the money or...or brain dead.
Scientology is nothing more than a pyramid scheme of the highest order.
If Scientology is a religion, then L Ron Hubbard is it's prophet.
I rest my case.
He was a Navy combat veteran of WWII, one of the Greatest Generation whom we must worship and honor with posts on a regular basis. Hubbard also managed to do something that should forever endear him to the GB gang; he anchored his vessel in Mexican waters without authorization and then bombarded Mexican territory. Truely a man of vision and a long stretch of our new border fence with Mexico should be named in his honor.0 -
I am not for or against any of these odd groups who seem to hit the spotlight from time to time. The only thing that upsets me and makes me think anyone should step in is when they seem to cross the line and INSIST on forcing themselves on people who just aren't interrested.....or abuse the membership (like marrying many young girls to some old perv, or taking some brainwashed individual's entire estate as a donation.)
The Jehova Witnesses may come to your door.....but you can turn them away if you like.
The Mormons are pleasant to have in the community and do have the "bicycle duo" spreading their welcome mat around....but no big deal.
There are way too many of the other, more destructive groups around. They have no right to force a business to close only because they wanted the location vacant. What about that guy who says he is "better than GOD?" His group is nearly militant against others. I won't even get into Islam and the whole "join us or die" thing. What are we headed for....and how do you stop these from having so much power>0 -
"marrying many young girls to some old perv"
I take umbrage with that !
Old pervs deserve all the happiness they can afford, or can get someone else to pay for.
Spoken on behalf of old pervs, everywhere.

I had seen where there was some group that "married" the 8 yr old girls to grown men...
I know a few nutty old men who have wives they don't deserve....but I haven't ever met a grown man married to an 8 yr old or I would be posting this from my prison cell for what I would do to that guy.0 -
Scientology may be as good as any other religion ... no good!
The Bible teaches us about a relationship with the living God, where He takes the initiative in getting back in touch with us ... not because we deserve it, but because He loves us!
May God bless y'al real good!0 -
Yeah, well...that is taking it to extremes, and I agree with you.
I hate it when I do that.
