Gun Topic (FN 5.7 )
What is it about the FN 5.7 line of weapons that demands a premium?? Their prices on the carbines and pistols are flat out high. They also are very proud of their .223 bullpup. I thought they might come down in price with time but they aren't. Does anyone think that they are going to stick around?

I have one of the PS90's and though the finish could be a lot better on the metal work all of the important parts are polished and function perfectly. Reminds me of the G43 in that respect. 0 -
I have a PS90 and a Five Seven handgun - I love both, and the finishing on the Five Seven is nice.
The PS90 is finished a little rough, but it is a "military weapon" type of gun - not a collectors piece.
I love both guns tremendously - but I will admit that both are overpriced. The PS90 should be $1000 MAX, tops.0 -
They will be well wroth it if they ever ban them 0 -
I pd $750 for my Five Seven when they first came out.. whick was about what any quality handgun goes for!!!
I ain't one bit sorry I bought it...Frankly you can take all that hype and pitch it...the gun is under-rated... infact I'm keeping my open for some guy that has eyes bigger than his wallet so I can have another one in reserve!!!0 -
I got both too, I love them. I bought PS-90 used for $1200 out the door and new 5-7 $850 out the door. Both worht it I think.
One other thing is, the 5-7 is extreamly easy to shoot well, even I can shine with it! If there would be more these guns with this caliber, I would get them too. [:D]0 -
I wish FN made the 5.7 bullpup in .17HMR. I think they would sell like hotcakes. 0 -

That would be sweet, cheap to shoot too.0 -
+1 on the .17.[:D] 0 -
Not to get off topic; but I WOULD like to see taurus or S&W scandium/ airlight version with a 7-shot moon clip for the FNH 5.7 round.
It would beat out the .17hmr and .22mag; and it would be a neat little back-up weapon.
And yes!; I would like to see the FN pistol take the FNH 5.7x28 round and neck it down to .17 [the hmr diameter] or neck it up to the .243 diameter, and chamber it in the gun.

Compelling argument. Make more less expensive guns that use this round. I like your ideal about the B.U.G. 0 -
I was wondering the same thing. Cheaper materials, easer manufacturing yet higher prices.(and does not seem to be short on supply)I guess when the demand gets filled the price will go down. 0 -
Well, there should be a bolt action 5-7 soon. Not sure how the patents and such apply to other companies wanting to make 5.7 guns, since only FN is doing it now. But, it would be nice to see other companies making them. 0
