Terrorism topic

The wife and I went down the other day to put a couple thousand $ in our IRA before the turning of the new year.
Took 2 certified checks from the bank to the investment people.
The checks came back yesterday with a cover letter saying due to the anti-terrorism act they could (or would) not accept bank drafts, only personal checks or cash.
Any opinions as to what sort of dumb-ass thinking (or lack of it ) came up with that idea? Puzzled in Oregon.

    got hit with that when I took some out of my 401 to pay for the 12,000 sewer and they had to hold the check from my investment company. I got a cashier check from my bank after I deposited the 401 check and the bank would only cash it for 2000 buck and would hold the rest from my sewer guy.What a rip

    Our gov't has control of just about every aspect of your life now...even down to what kind of toilet you can take a dump in...and now what kind of light bulbs you can use in the bathroom. It won't be long before you have to use some kind of reusable toilet paper.

    You must be a terrorist. In fact, due to the PC atmosphere WE are all considered terrorists. NO PROFILING...IT HURTS FEELINGS. Take heart though...after the sheeple elect Hillary you will be a terrorist for:

    a) owning a gun
