Find the nest then wait until after dark and hit it with some wasp spray. I hit one this weekend and I was surprised at the number of bodies in the morning.

Use a wrist rocket style slingshot and shoot charcoal bricks at it from range until they decide it's not worth the effort to nest there.

I've had good luck with spray carbureter cleaner or electrical parts cleaner - it's quicker acting than the wasp sprays which have been detuned to meet EPA pesticide specs. Wait 'til dusk when they're all back in the nest. I had a problem with wood boring bumble bees a couple years back and this worked great - shot it into the holes they bored in my door frame and porch posts. Although, I do like the idea of using the 12 gauge with #9 shot - if you live in the country. Maybe spray up the nest, light it, then shoot it?????????

A can of hairspray and a bic lighter works real good and is big time fun trying to get them before they get you...
A fair fight is the only humane thing to do...

Just attack them after dark. I used clear spray paint, and a big can. put the can under the nest, scrap it in to the can, then light the little buggers on fire.

OK a little more detail is called for. I have a 100' by 30' garage, the floor is 6" thick concrette. These buggers dug under the slab to nest. Hitting them at home don't work ,Fire won't work(insurance will not pay for arson), tried flooding them out , didn't work.
Pest control wants $150.00 to do the job.
If I get em out i'll set a 1' border around the garage 1' deep.[}:)]

Oh by the way the wife had the garage built for my birthday a few years back. (although she uses 1/2 of it for her junk.)[:D][:D]

Try popping one of those smoke bombs for killing moles and groundhogs in a tunnel or enrtance if you can find one. It makes tonnes of sulfur fumes, though, but should drive them out of the nest for good.
