Yes, it's that time again.
Here's Maggie. Taken tonight...about a half hour ago:

I'm not posting a pic of Zuzu this time. She's off hunting tonight anyway.

Here's a few of my "family" pets.[;)]
Thanks for the compliment. As fas as being chained up goes, that's a lot better than running loose. [:D]
Always hated to see a pet tied up or caged. My dogs have almost 11 acres to run on.0 -

This is my best hunting buddy, Hunter.
This is our couch potato, Roxie. We got her from the Berkeley County pound in SC. She had heartworms and had been shot by some idiot (buckshot). She was a deer dog. Now she is just a canine garbage disposal.
This is Simon. Found him, his brother, and sister, at a mothballed power plant when he was 4 weeks old. Bottle fed them for two weeks. We gave his brother and sister to good home. We kept him. He got out one night (we didn't know it) and disappeared. We found him 4-1/2 months later (gone Oct.-Feb) in a back yard about a half mile away. BTW, he doesn't have front claws. I guess he got by on attitude alone!
These are the other four boys. The black one is Alex, the grey one at the top is Sebastian, the two laying down are the kittens. Bottom one is Sampson and the one on the right is Winchester. We got the kittens when we lost Simon. Wife was very depressed so we went to the pound and saved these two from the gas chamber.

Pitbulls must be contained properly. It's part of responsible ownership. If I let them run loose they would tear each other apart. They have a high prey drive, it's what that were bred for.
The last thing I want is a yard accident. Although my dogs are very obedient, my neighbors appreciate the fact that they are properly contained.
Running a registered kennel is almost a full-time job. They might be chained, but each dog is rotated and taken for a walk and given individual attention. If you noticed from the pics not all of them are chained since I have kennels as well.
Once again, it's my responsibility to restrain these dogs. I am their commander and cheif, and at the same time they love and respect me back.
I'm not looking for any drama here. I just love my dogs and get the same in return.
Regardless of breed, dog is mans best friend. (Well maybe second to my gun collection). [;)]0 -

Several people on this forum maintain that pitbulls are as gentle and harmless as other dog breeds; its all just how they were raised.
So, which is it? Do pit bulls have an inbred viciousness, or is it a learned behavior?0 -

The only thing my pits have ever ripped apart is the garbage[:D][:D][:D]
They all run around together at the park, other dogs running loose 2, I have many friends with pits that love to play with mine. I its just luck that out of all the 20+ pits I know they can all run around at the same park together and not kill each other huh? Or maybe it was the way they were brought up huh?
As far as what they where bred for..............don't ask me I wasn't even born when this dog was "BRED"
Not going to comment anymore on this subject. Just wanted to post some pics.0 -

I have a buddy with two full blood pitbulls. One is female, the other male. The only way they are going to hurt anyone is by licking them to death. They run free and unchained.
If you think yours need to be chained or caged, I respect your decision, but would rather see them unchained in a protected dog run than with a logging chain around their neck.
Do you really think a chain that will tow a ship is needed to hold them? It seems excessive and borderline cruel to me.0 -
