After the gun-hating psychobabble she put out in order to preserve her "Leftist street cred" by making a vigilante movie, I'll not give her a penny.

I'll snatch it off of Rapidshare or NetFlix it when it's available.

Here's someone else's post from another board, stolen word-for-word.

Thinking of going to see The Brave One, with Jodie Foster? Think again.

Here is a few quotes from the hollywood scumbag herself:

JODIE FOSTER: "It's shameful, but that's human and that's who we are as human beings. There will be unsophisticated people who see a sophisticated movie. Just like there were in The Accused. And thank God I only went to one screening of that movie with an audience."

...FOSTER: "Here's my commentary: I don't believe that any gun should be in the hand of a thinking, feeling, breathing human being. Americans are by nature filled with rage-slash-fear. And guns are a huge part of our culture. I know I'm crazy because I'm only supposed to say that in Europe. But violence corrupts absolutely."

    What an jerk.............

The message most people will get from this movie, from what I can tell (I have yet to see it) is that it's better to be armed than to be a victim.

Hopefully this nation will return to its roots when guns were taken seriously, but not viewed as anything to fear nor its proponents some sort of fringe group.

And if this movie helps move us in that direction, however unintented such a consequence might have been for the fimmakers, then who cares what they think politically? They just scored the good guys a major coup and I'm fine with that.

quote:When talk turned to gun control, a subject many movie critics will likely tackle in reviews for The Brave One, Foster commented:

"Isn't it possible that we all have that bit of insanity in us?

"That's why I'm for gun control. Absolutely. I don't believe that people should have access to life-or-death situations at any emotional time in their life.

"I don't really believe that a human being who feels [things] should have the option at their fingertips."

The only vigilantyism in this film was the end. All other killings were in SELF DEFENSE. Though she did put herself in those situations.

Sounds like a good movie. What's wrong with a little pay back.[}:)]
