AR 15 sights
I am considering buying a new ar with the A3 detachable carryhandle. I am wondering if an optical scope and a red dot scope will work OK with the fixed front sight in the way. and advice would be appreciated.

Its never bothered me. If its a problem they make folding front sights also. 0 -
It will work fine. You can either use a riser, to raise the scope above the front sight post. Or if using a red dot you can set them up to co-witness to gether....with the use of some sort of rear sight of coarse. 0 -
It won't matter any way with a magnified scope you won't see your front sight. If it's not magnified and you use a red dot, then you want to have your red dot co-wittness your front sight. 0
