FireFox Update Problems

    It is because the fw is blocking the application, since it is a new FF it is a "new" application as far as it is concerned...

    (at least I think so... I really don't like having much to do with Windows... )

    Dunno. I tried FF but only briefly, as it lagged my system so badly, but so did IE7. Quickly went back to IE6.

    iwannausername is correct. You need to set up your firewall to allow the firefox application.

    Well, at least I didn't get into my rant about improperly configured firewalls... they are for blocking things *coming in*, not going out...

    True for WindowsXP firewall; but, not true for other firewalls. Many, including myself, don't use Windows Firewall for this very reason. You need a firewall for incoming and outgoing.

    Well, I have 1 problem on my firefox setup at home - If I accendallt click on the history menu, my system and firefox is frozen for 8-10 seconds. Then the "history" menu comes up and all is fine. But, it is irritating when I am doing something and I click on that instead of "bookmarks"
