A guy I work with is trying to get some cash together before he moves, and has offered me a Stoeger M3000 12 gauge semi-auto (Realtree camo pattern finish) for $300. It's brand new, still in the box. Based on the retail prices I see, it looks like it's a deal. What say you? Worthwhile purchase? I don't really need another shotgun, but when has need really had anything to do with it [:D]? Besides, I'm a sucker for a good deal.

We were camping this weekend and I went to a gunshop/baitshop to get some crawlers and beemoths. They had a used Springfield 1911 hi-cap for $465 that caught my eye. It was in real good condition. It had the skeleton trigger and extended grip safety (beavertail?). I'm thinking about going back out tomorrow and buying it. 0 -

check for excessive play in the slide and bushing, if she is still tight it would be a good deal. What the heck, go for it, it's only money, you'll make more. 0 -

I paid $725.00 for my Springfield 1911 with olive drab finish and skeletonized trigger and hammer. I'd go for it, you can't go wrong with a Springfield 1911 for that price. 0
