Proud American Soldiers

I was one and so was my father. Here's my most cherished picture of him (receiving his first of two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters to his Bronze Star Medal). My dad was a true Korean War hero with his role in the taking of Pork Chop Hill. [^]

    If you ever go to Seoul, there is an excellent War Memorial there. Lots of info about the war. I will post some pictures of it in another thread.

    It's strong military families that protect this countries great freedoms! You have every right to be proud of your Father.
    I understand your pride. I am currently active duty USAF. I've had more trips to the sandbox than my family would like to admit and they all know I'd go again the minute I am called!
    My father served four years USAF in the latter parts of vietnam and my grandfather served four in the corps in the early parts of the Korean War. I can trace my families military service to the civil war on my paternal grandfathers side and to the revolutionary war on my paternal grandmothers side. My hat is off to military families!
