I am makeing homemade ice cream for the first time!

Got the ice cream maker going right now.

    10-4 on the bananas!! I just finished the last little drop of mine last night......been nursing that batch for over a week now. Gotta talk the wife into making some more for the July 4th holiday.
    Ain't nothing like good 'ol homemade ice cream. Hope yours turns out good!

    The ice cream is done! It has a great flavor!

    It is now in the freezer to harden before I serve it to the kids for dessert tonight![:D][:D][:D]

    Pack it in dry ice, ship overnight...it should arrive at my house in time to eat!!!

    You will have to try Grapico sometime. I forget the exact way its done.....but you pour a 1 liter bottle of Grape soda in the maker along with the other "stuff" and its strange.....but GOOD!

    We have a barrel with a crank - get the mix, shaved ice, ect, mix it, theres some good ice cream![:D]

    The mix....PSHHHHHH!

    Go milk a cow....take your milk and trek up to an Alaskan stream...turn the milk until you get cream.....place your sugar (that you have grown yourself and harvested) and your cream in the stainless steel bucket that you have hammered out of recycled metal and stir with the wooden spoon (that you have carved yourself out of the oak tree you grew and then cut down).....stir briskly for about 5 hours and it should be GREAT!

    We used to do that, but used Orange Crush instead. Really good stuff! Now I'm going to have to dig my freezer out for the 4th and whip up a batch! [:p]

    Well mine turned out pretty darn good for it being my first time ever makeing it![:D]

    But the kids acted up last night and did not get any!

    We will see about today for them. If they don't get any today it will be more for me![:D][:D][:D]

    the best punishment is eating it in front of them very slowly...all the time saying MMMMM...MMMMM this is good ice cream!!![:D]

    did you use the "classic" method of using ice and lowering its melting point by putting a butt-ton of salt in it?

    I've made ice cream using both that method and the "modern" liquid nitrogen technique. (ah the crazy things physicists do on the last lab day [:p]) So far I like the slow-freeze method better

    Yea I used the classic method!

    After it was done I threw the ice in my ice chest with my beer an was drinking frozen beer as well![:D]
