Well Everything high dollar survived.. but the Items on the kitchen counter that were plugged in maybe shot....Living in a trailer as I do the Circuit breakers are all outside on a pole (which currently has a big puddle of water round it.... I'll pass on checking it tonite.... Well off to work early to spend an extra bit of quality time at the coffee machine.... 0 -
send some of that rain my way.... we need it bad, my poor garden isnt doing so hot and i havent had the time to water as often as i should be.... and speaking of lightening... my dad was down in the basement years ago doing some reloading after work and we had an afternoon t-storm pop up and lightening hit our cable box which jumped to the panel box when it came into the house... blow the door open on the panel box about 10 ft from where dad wassitting and blow numerous bulbs and a tv set up 0 -
we finally got some rain yesterday for about ten minutes is all but it also brought a big scare. my father runs a strawberry and sweet corn farm and with the begining of the rain we had large hail. thankfully the hail only last for a moment. years back i remeber a hail storm that shreded thousands of acres of crops. that was back when my family still did dairy and cow corn, and lots of it. i was a kid and remember the hail accumulating upto a few inches in area, the town even got out the plows and we had decent sized snow i mean hail banks 0 -
