What was the best gift you ever got for christmas?

Figured id start another Christmas thread. I cant answer my own question though.

    Is your dad a Communist? Yankee? Gay? Why no guns?

    I can't imagine a parent depriving his children of the experience of owning and shooting firearms. It is child neglect for sure.

    To answer the original question, I can think of two Christmas gifts that I received as a child that I still have. One is a Marlin 99C, and the other is a Benjamin pump .22.

    I have also enjoyed lots of consumable gifts for Christmas, cookies, pies, and acts of kindness that can't be wrapped.

    A G I Joe Jeep with the search light and 105mm gun. I remember dreaming about one when I was a kid. I still have the darn thing.
    My Grandmother told me many years later about how my Dad worked a couple extra shifts to secure the money for the item.

    That was in 1964.


    Since then, I guess the best present I ever received as an adult would be a few of the firearms that I currently own.

    Brand Spanking new Savage 110 .243 when I was 13. Shot my first deer with that gun and many deer and turkey since. Hopefully going to draw some blood with her this weekend. Man I love that gun

    well there was the time the wife dressed up as mis claws well you get the ideal [}:)][:p][:D]


    then there was last year when I spyed a marlin 1894 44,mag sitting under the tree with my name on it.


    but I the one that has allways stayed in my mind was when I was about 13yr and dad got me a daisy power line and hid it in his truck toolbox all i got was a not wraped in a small box telliing me to go and look in it. never will forget that [^]

    Best gift I ever got was an electric blanket. When I was a kid, we lived a drafty 2 story farmhouse with no upstairs heat. I was cozy after getting that blanket![:)]
