Fun gun.
To me, a fun gun is one that is simply a hoot to shoot (I'm just full of rhymes tonight aren't I?). I tend to think of fun guns as ones that you don't have any great expectations of, they are just... well, fun.
And if you got a fun gun real cheap, then so much the better.
I have a number of fun guns. Here's one. An Enfield .38/200 that I got at a local show last year for a C note. Hunnert bucks! Such a deal! It actually shoots pretty good using lead .357 bullets (bore is .360) and the top-break is a gas to play with.
I think we need more gun pics on the forum. Anyone want to share a photo of their fun gun?

My Bingham PPS 50 is my hoot to shoot gun. I finally figured out which ammo it likes so it feeds real nice and is a blast. Of course I can't take it to the range without other people wanting to shoot it as well.0 -

Cobray PM/11 9mm. Cheap and fun to shoot. Hard to believe the full auto version is built almost exactly like it but costs 20 times more. I like shootin it gangster style but being left handed, the brass hits my legs and burns when I wear short pants. [:D]

Shootlow- I load Starline brass with a 125 grain lead round nose and 4 grains or Unique. Shoots right at point of aim.0 -
Last weekend I was reminded what it was too shoot for the pure fun of it. I started out shooting a DPMS Panther delux bull 24 special and I was having a blast shooting 3/4 inch groups at 200 yards with it. But them just for kicks I picked up my buddy's pieced together M-4, man I had a hoot shooting a 6 inch gong at 200 with it, I forgot that an mostly inaccurate gun could still be fun[:D] I guess I've been shooting from the bench for too long. 0 -
.75" at 200 yards with an AR? That's some damn fine shooting. 0 -
This one has a trapdoor in the stock to hold extra ammo! note the mystery machine sticker[8D]

Thanks Saxon, that was from the bench and shooting with bags. The reloads were set perfectly and the weather was just right. Most 5 shot groups were just over an inch, that was 4 into 3/4 and a flyer that opened it up. I had a couple that stayed together to give me all 5 into 3/4. I take no credit into the performance of this rifle, I was just the nut behind the trigger and I think she has more in her.0 -

I shot mine, shoots to the left. Don0 -
Marlin Mdl 70 with a red dot scope. Cans don't stand a chance. Just wish I could find a 500 rd. clip for it. 0 -
Don- Try leaning your head to the left just a bit to corrct the point of aim. [}:)] 0 -
I no longer have it, but I would have to say my Winchester Model 1885 Single Shot rifle chambered in 25-35. It had a 30 inch number 3 barrel and an original Winchester A-5 scope. Probably the most accurate old Winchester I ever owned. 0 -
Any one from my needs to be cleaned pile.[img][/img]

Any of the evil black guns:[}:)]
Cobb MCR-300
S & W M&P15T
Keltec PLR-16
But for plinking, it is hard to beat a lever-action .357[:)]
