Ever had a boss who tried to torpedo you
This is elaborate but I will try to be brief. Buck SGT just back from RVN at Brooks AFB TX. My sup SSG Arthur Martinez who took immediate dislike to me for no reason I ever knew. Other minor events had gone on before this thut this is what I am writi8ng about.
Friday evenings, he ALWAYS burned our classified. No exceptions.
One Friday, he told me he was going on leave and wanted me to burn classified. Because of passed incidents, my antenna went immediately up. He told me how to burn, take ashes from incinerator and put in barrel, mix with water and stur up.
OK, I burned classified and when I pulled ash bin from bottom, guess what I found between ash bin and pit, an un schorched top secret kw26 key card.
I know what he wanted to do, is burn my butt. I really made a big mistake because I flicked my bic and burned the damn card. Why, becauwe my OIC had signed off as witness to card being destroyed. I should have called him and let him handle the situation but I goofed and handleded it myself.
I told my relief shift to see what he did Monday (the supervisor) when he came in: He went immediately to the burn barrel, turned it over and washed the slurry down the drain looking for anything unburned. He called me in off break and asked me if I found anything out of the ordinary. Too dam bad, I could have burned his ass and had him do time in Leavenworth had I not been trying to protect my OIC.Too bad I was such a good guy and not thinking real clear. Tom

during my time at raf lakenheath, during a war exercise, before you could load certain weapons on the F-111's you had to run test on the system. The Aircraft in question failed the functional checks, I was told to load the weapons anyway. following srict guidlines I red xed the aircraft, I lost my load crew for failing to follow his order, but he lost his stripes because of his orders for me to load these weapons. if youve been around the military you will know what types of weapons I am talking about, they produce big clouds, mushroom in shape.[:)] 0 -

I had a platoon seargent once who rode my ass all the time. The guy didn't like me from day one. I think race had something to do with it, anyhow, I always kept one step ahead of him and watched my back all the time. It wasn't long and Desert Storm came around. He wasn't deployable and I was. Went to war as a gunsmith and came back as a unit armorer by my choice and I had it made. Hang in there and time will make it better. 0 -
I had a Master SGT who used to call me on my weekend shift, He would moniter the como and if I even mispoke one sylable he would be on the phone chewing me out till I felt real bad. Then Monday morning he'd roll-in and ask me how the weekend went. This happned about 6 weeks in a row till I figured out he was drunk when he called and forgot about it by monday[:D] 0 -

things that happen 20 plus yrs ago is breaking OPSEC. yea right[;)]0
