Got 30 Day Permit to Kill Deer
I got a 30 day permit to kill 12 Deer anytime except Sunday and I can kill them until 10:00 PM with a spotlight. The Game Warden issued me the permit and the longest they can issue them is for 30 days at a time here in Va. But there is no way I could kill one its to hot(90 Degrees) plus I could never kill a Doe, its just to possible with last yrs rut they have fawns that are still dependant on them. But they are way to many Deer over there at our cabin and they do need thinning out, I have several older people who cant hunt who love Venison that Im giving the meat to. I have to get a new permit in 30 days so that may be about right? Of course I hope to wait until Season opens before I harvest mine.[;)]

Got two does a buck and three fawns in the yard right now.Can`t shoot em ...they visit several times a day and are way too much fun to watch. I`ll get mine in the fall at the farm ,but not these. 0 -
If they need thinning it might be more effective to go for the does. I don't know what the deer mating system is, but for many animals it only takes one buck to inseminate a multitude of females. And then if the fawns don't make it, it's like two animals with one bullet.
Pretty brutal for the fawns, yep. Just a thought.0 -
They do and have for a long time, Im going to let the young ones take a few. That in itself will be a thrill to watch. 0 -
i sometimes have to scare them off with a couple blasts from my mossberg into the dirt but they keep coming back. 0
