Damn this humidity
Inside the plant right now, outside of my control room, the thermometer has just touched 100 degrees F. The Weather Channel show's 74% humidity outside the plant, probably more humid inside since everything is done with water.

The link above shows that @ 100F and 74% humidity, the Heat Indext is 148.7 degrees.
The thermometer will touch 110 before the day is over and will hit it many more times this summer.

Crap. Afternoons is going to suck today. It seems to be the hottest shift. It takes until 9-10 pm before the place starts to cool down inside the plant. 0 -

I worked three midnights and it was quite pleasant. Never realy broke a serious sweat. Then yesterday I did a short change and came in on afternoon. It kicked my butt and I am expecting more of the same tonight. 0 -

...74 degrees and there is no humidity, unless you count the big blobs of it falling every other hour at the rate of an inch or more an hour. We need it though. Tropical wave moved in sitting right on top of me. The wave is susposed to move a little, then move back across and sit on me again.
