Dang near got run over.
Took Sandy up to Walgreens earlier. We made our purchases and left. While getting in the truck, I put Sandy in first, then walked around to get in myself. As I was unlocking the door, a young girl (maybe 16 to 18) came buzzing into the parking space next to me. She actually bumped me with the bumper as she pulled in. Wasn't hurt, but I was sure glad she didn't pull over another 6 inches or she could have broken my knee. I don't think she ever knew she touched me.
Kids shouldn't be driving Chevy Suburbans until they develope some depth perseption.[^]

I love the trucks, but she was obviously a new driver and didn't need to be driving that much of a truck without a little more experience.[;)] 0 -

Oh she woulda known she hit me!![}:)][:(!] Glad to hear you're okay Danny.0 -
It was really a scraping rub, but still enough to make me stagger a little. I started to say something, but she was in a world of her own and I just let it go. Besides, I didn't want to upset Sandy. 0 -

That is the problem. In-attention.0 -
Daggone Danny...sounds like you had better stop shopping...might be hazardous for your health! That's why I leave the shopping up to my wife.[;)][:)] 0 -
You weren't near Birmingham Alabama.....and the Suburban wasn't really a BMW....and the girl wasn't a blonde....was she?
Kidding, my nightmare has about a year....before it starts. I feel like I should apologize to you myself for the teen-driver because I will soon have one out there. Just remember...it takes a village. Just yell at these teens like they were your own. Her MOM would be yelling if she were there. Again, I am sorry that happened.0 -
Any one know any statistics? Who kills more people per year? Firearms or Teen Drivers? 0 -

If Sandy had not have had her stroke, I wouldn't have been there. I told her about it after we got home and she said "If i'm not collecting your insurance, I'm not worring about it."[^]
She also said, "Are you sure it wasn't because you were too big of a target?"[}:)]
She's learning my ways![V]0 -
Glad to hear no harm was done.
Still, I'd have let that dumb b***h have it with both barrels...
Kids nowadays... sheesh.0 -

Shouldn't drive suburbans?
The first vehicle I drove was a 1988 Mercury Colony Park station wagon. That was a bus!
The second was a 1988 jimmy (pretty small).
I also learned to drive in a full size chevy van when I was 16.
Those 3 vehicles were the only vehicles I drove until I bought my Ford Taurus when I was 20. I couldn't understand my friends, who said, "this is a big car" when they got in.0 -
Glad to hear you're ok Danny! Personally I would have said something to the girl, but that's just me. 0 -
Next time, fall to the ground screaming and thrashing about. I guarantee you will get her attention. [:p][:D]
Single guys can get a little aid and comfort too if you play it right. [}:)]0 -
if it was my two teenage drivers i would want some one to yell at them the good lord knows i am hoarse from doing so 0 -
speaking of depth perception related to age,..I had a 50+yr old change lanes into my Z71 Suburban on friday,....told the LEO he didn't see it. W.T.H.[?] You didn't see a SUBURBAN[:(!] 1yr left to pay on her and some dinguss sends her to the body shop[V] minor damage,..she should recover with no evidence of the incident. Good thing the wife was driving it and not me[B)] 0 -
