GUN TALK
Thinking about shooting my Browning hi-power, it's only been out of the box to look at since the 80's. Shot one the other day and been thinking about mine. Any ideas??

Turbo I believe I gave under $400 at K's Merchandise.
...Is your K's still open, or did they all close? We had one in Kankakee, but they closed the doors.0 -

The one in Paducah closed last year before Christmas. Didn't like them anyway. Their mail ads would show guns, but in fine print, said they didn't carry guns at certain stores, ours included. All I ever saw in there was way overpriced merchandise. Did buy my wife a Seiko watch for Christmas, but then everything was 70% off because of the liquidation.
To get back on track with this thread...I bought my son a Ruger MKII for Christmas. He just doesn't know it yet. [:D] Gun budget has gotten really tight this year. Will probably send his handi-rifle in for a 308 barrel and maybe a muzzle loader barrel after the first of the year.0 -
Unfired Marlin 39a "Century Limited" and an excellent Colt "Peacemaker" 22lr/22WMR with both cylinders. [:)] 0 -
This is more of a vacuum cleaner board. We don't post about guns any more, someone with the conspiracy might be reading. 0 -
Tapwater, I believe they are all closed now. This one was in Champaign.
I have been looking for a .22 revolver or a used AR. All the talk about the Boy Scout 94's has me looking at them again, as well.0 -
I try to bring up gun talk topics that interest me but they are shoved off the front page in 6 hours or less by "beer topics".
If you like gun talk the experts forum servs a pretty healthy helping everyday.0 -
I gust picked up a very nice Perugini & Visini Selous Double Rifle in .470 Nitro Express, it goes very well with the Krieghoff Gold Imperial in .500 Nitro Express and the Sarasqueta Double rifle in .375 H&H. Of course these are for the store and not for my personal collection, but at lest I get to stroke them once in a while. 0 -
bought a used Ruger Redhawk 44mag on here for handgun season. Just mounted a Burris 2x on it. 0 -
I have a Springfield 1911 A1 on layaway at Cabela's. I plan to pick it up the middle of December when the new incentive program comes out for cardholders. With points and incentive money this $700 - $800 gun should cost me about $250 including tax. My Christmas present to Me. 0 -
im looking to trade off 3 cheaper guns for 1 0 -
looking at CZ Redhead over under 12 gage 28" barrel, appears to be a nice gun for under $700, does any one have any advice for a bird gun in this price range 0 -

I'd hold out. Spend a little more and buy a Browning Citori. In 12 gauge, they can be bought used for $1000+-. No comparison in quality and will hold it's value for sure. Just my two cents.........0 -
Funny you should ask, a friend of mine gave me a Winchester model 1300 Defender 12ga. pump shotgun today for FREE! He traded with someone and he doesn't like shotguns, so he asked if I wanted it, what could I say, but YES! It's in 95% condition!
It was a good day today!0
