Who cares what you do Doug. If you are unhappy, make yourself happy again. You only have one life to live. By the way that place looks like it's girl's a plenty, and they're Line Dancing. Why do girls like line dancing?

"don't break my heart, my achy breaky heart...."

There's only one place to meet cowgirls, at the rodeo! That's where I meet my wife!

Because it puts their stuff up for display like a smorgasboard. See one you like, watch where she goes after the line dance. Then go try your luck.

Unless you own a farm/ranch, who cares if she's a REAL cowgirl? The willingness to stick her arm up to the shoulder up a cows butt is not one of my Top 10 requirements for a bed mate.[:D]

In the style of one of our country's past "leaders"....
It depends on what the definition of "bad thing" is!

For the first time in maybe 30 years, I went to a cowboy singles club/bar tonight - the Silver Spur.

I thought I'd just check out the potential, based on my declining marital status.

I had a great time - nursed my beer all night, and had four bought for me by different cowgirls.

This reminded me of a thread a couple of weeks ago where the issue of young(er) women/girls being attracted to, and hitting on, older men. As a student of the gentler sex(right) I'm certain that these weren't "mercy" encounters. THEY DO SERIOUSLY DO IT.

Stay tuned and we'll see what develops.

Do y'all think that this was a bad thing to do ??

    Doug

Definitely not a bad thing. I'm glad it sounds like you had a good time, with some confidence boosting encounters.
I've noticed the same thing. If i am not in a confident mood, i attribute it to young girls being "nice to the old guy" because it's safe. If i am feeling confident i say "I've still got it" lol.
In any case, especially when i am in an outgoing mood, i definitely get a certain "vibe" from young girls from time to time too.

Especially the old, fat ones. [xx(]

The ratio was about 3 females to each Man.

I observed a number of characteristics of the females there that I found puzzling.

    The Men were just...kinda goofy.

I shall have to return to attempt to resolve the questions these strange behaviors have brought to my mind.

I have never shirked my responsibilities to the Scientific community.

    Not a bad thing Doug.

Just watch out for "barflies", skanks, gold-diggers and opportunist heart-breakers.

Fun times drinking, dancing and meeting new girls. Guard your heart and your wallet though.

    Gospel according to St. Toby:
    She said, "Hello, my
    Name is Bobby Jo
Meet my twin sister Betty Lou
And we're both feeling kinda wild tonight
And you're the only cowboy in this place
And if you're up for a rodeo
We'll put a big Texas smile on
    Your face"[:p]

    Go for it!

Since we are on a country theme:

"Old enough to know better, but still to young to care!"[:D]

All that matters is that you had good time.

    +1
    Doug,
Glad you had a good time, just be cautious. Wrap your rascal if it come to that. Some of the younger gals have the experience and the herpes to make life interesting. [:o)]

    "declining marital status" ?

Unless you're completely divorced or a widower, you're betraying your vows, regardless of how your spouse is behaving.

As for younger women/older men, they're not mercy encounters, the proper term is mercenary.

    (Where is this place, exactly?)

Right across from the Fairgounds, on Silverton road.

I hope I would have been aware of it if I had betrayed my vows.

How would you define that term ??

Doug,.......have whatever fun that YOU feel like.
All of it is up to you, whether folks here agree, or not.
I think you are just trying to get out and about myself though.
    That is good.[;)]
Edit: Did any of them say, " Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me"?

    Doug,
Right down the street from that bar is a western wear store that used to have "DownTown Doug Brown)s world champion saddle setting by the door. And yas, cowgirls are a wonderous thing.
