Elk hunting is a blast...
We called in two bulls the other night...just before dark...both of which could have been killed had we started calling about 20 minutes earlier. The second MASSIVE bull came in from over 1/2 mile away and he closed that distance in less than 5 minutes. I got set up on him and he came in and gave me a beautiful 20 yard broad side shot...just too late to see through my peep. We called in several bulls today. We watched one bull and his herd of cows come in to our calls from 1500-2000 yards away. They came up over the next mountain ridge and came down into a draw looking for us. I might have some pics to post tomorrow...
