I Thanked a Soldier Today
Personally, I mean. I was attending a Masonic degree in a city near my home. Also attending was a young Sgt., in uniform I might add. After we introduced ourselves, I shook his hand again and thanked him for his service to us.
How 'bout it folks, let's all do that every time we meet or see an active duty serviceman or woman.

I do this everytime I see a service member!
If I even see a person I think is in the service (I am seldom wrong in my judgement of this) I go up and introduce myself, ask about thier service, and if they are in the military I thank them for thier service and sacrifice for all of us!0 -
Yes. Its the right thing to do.
Thank you, everyone here that has served.0 -
I know I really appreciate it when people do it. I never really know what to say back. I always thinks it weird when people thank me because I haven't done anything yet, I'm still training. 0 -

There are a lot of little things that we all can do to express our thanks, simple things that dont effect our lives but shows the troops that are a lot of people that are thankful. Ill never forget when I was young (Desert Storm Era) and I was in a grocery store with my grandfather, to gentlemen in full military dress got into line a few people back from us. My grandpa(30yrs, USAF) cleared everyone out of the way so they could come to the front of the line where we were. I never forgot it and do it now, and always will. I just hope more people would do it. 0
