What is this mark?
I posted pictures of this rifle a week ago and called it a Mannlicher-Schoenauer. Thanks to those who set me straight: as you said, it clearly is a Commission 88 sporter. But who made it? I gather these rifles were made by several different manufacturers.
I've deciphered the proof marks on the rifle (they appear to be German), but there's one mark that I can't decipher. I'm hoping it will tell me who made it.
Here's the rifle

And here's the mark I'm talking about. It appears on the bolt, the bolt handle, the safety and the floor plate. The one pictured is from the safety. I guess it might be upside down. This is what you would see if you were holding the rifle, ready to shoulder it, with the safety on.

In case this helps, the serial number is WR9xxx.
