Wonders Never Cease It Seems
A buddy brought in a S&W revolver that I actually liked. A six inch, five screw Hand Ejector made around 1911. .38 Special, old perfect reblue (could not detect it until 10X magnification) and some really neat sunken brass logos in the checkered grips.
The action was crisp and the cylinder locked up almost as tight as a Colt, less that one millimeter of play. Obviously, this weapon saw little use in it's life. He picked it up at a gunshow over the weekend.
Just goes to show there are still a lot of good guns out there.[8D]

Yep, I know what you mean.
I keep hoping to find an F4U Corsair some farmer stashed in his barn after making an emergency landing in a cornfield back in 1944.
If I can't find that, I'll settle for a sunken pirate ship.
