The ragheads claim they have captured the three Americans. Question: Why did they let themselves be captured? Did they not know what will happen to them? What could possibly have happened?
During the old days, you kept one bullet for yourself to keep the indians from capturing you. These guys are going to die a horrible death. Just look at the Richard Pearle(sp) videos.

My question is how in gods name our people are put in positions that they can be captured? There is something wront somewhere.

    It's not always as simple as the movies make it out to be. Keeping a bullet for yourself only works if:

    1) Your gun still works

    and

    2) Your hand or hands still work

    and

    3) You're conscious enough to make both of the above work together.


    I doubt very seriously if anyone put them in that position on purpose or even by accident. $#!t happens and not always to the other guy.

    You need to keep your mouth shut about things you have no clue on. You're actually comparing the war in Iraq with saving a bullet for yourself to keep from being captured by the indians??

    I just can't imagine Monday Morning Quarterbacking this.

    I wasn't there for either gulf war, and the closest I've ever gotten to actual combat was in a bar in Oceanview, VA.

    To try to second guess these men is futile at the very least.

    They know their duty as POWs.

    Resist your captors at all times, take no favors, if you're the highest ranking lead, if you're not the highest ranking follow the highest ranking, and above all, attempt escape at every oppertunity and aid others in escaping. Give them no information that could be used against friendly forces. If you die in the process of any of those, then you die with honor, and your family can say that you died doing your duty.

    But regardless of whether you die or not, your fellow soldiers will not rest until you are safe and sound with your unit. If you do die in captivity, your fellow soldiers will not rest until they have made those repsonsible for your death pay with their lives.

    Clowder and 7. Care to explane your inane replys? Eat schydt and +1? god your replys are right off a 2nd graders handbook. I think some officers are right now relieved of duty for placing them in an unsecure place. Tom

    Firstly, you weren't there so your opinion really means jack shi t.

    Secondly, the idea of 'keeping a bullet for yourself' works in theory, but would you actually be able to put a gun to your head and pull the trigger without knowing how dire your situation really is? These soldiers cant be sure that they'll be executed, so it makes no sense to kill yourself while there is still hope left.

    i dont think the american soldiers were taken alive. there is no evidence of it and now they are confirmed dead. if al-qeada had live soldiers they would have used them for something but they didnt. the soldiers were taken dead.

    Rogue Rob from Christmas Island. I need to keep my mouth shut about something I know nothing about?? And you don't even know where the hell you are!! Just like in the days of Indian warefare, as I said. These guys are going to die a horrific death. I think one body was found today and bore signs of torture. You know they are going to torture you. That is their manta. I don't even remember my original post but these guys are going to suffer before they die. If unconcious, there is nothing they could do. If concious, how would you want to die? White flag waving or with bayonet in hand and trying to kill every meanie they can reach.
    Personally, I don't know what I would do either. I would hope I would have the balls to go down swinging and not by having my head cut off with some dull sword like Richard Pearl. Tom

    On the otherside we have this Guantanamo torture camp..
    Well i think they said its okey to torture terrorists but not soldiers. So the world need more good men, thats for sure.

    I wonder if they call Iraq's freedomfighters that want to liberate their own country terrorists allso by the way ?

    I believe that our military is no longer required to swear to the code.

    I think that requirement was lifted when women started performing Combat roles.
