They are not the same, other than the caliber.

You know, alot of people will bag on a hi-point. I own one. Yes, they are cheap, blocky, heavy, over all CHEAP. The DO have a lifetime warrenty, and are OK shooters, Not a colt by any stretch.

Now you mention cobra. I own one too. Let me say this:

Cobras ARE the biggest POS EVER hit the market. I LOATH that gun, and the maker. They are CHEAP, but they truely ARE JUNK. You would be better off tying it to a peice of rope and slinging it at a perp.

Sound like a cobra compares now? [xx(]

Saying Kel tec is a Cobra is like saying a Chevette is a Mazda. Cobra is a super cheap gun....with a lifetime warranty....and should cost under $150. If you are buying a gun that is under $150 brand new.....it will not be a dreamy gun.

The Kel tec is a better gun, but still not in the tops of what you can get. Kel tec is popular with it being the one I sell the MOST to MEN looking for a pocket gun. (Not one woman has bought one in my store because it does not have a safety they can "switch" off.) The Kel tec was once a Gremlin and when the company made a change they became Kel tec.

Cobra's are all metal....with either a pimped out chrome (that WILL chip and flake off later) or a painted coating (which will chip and flake off later.) The Kel tec is a polymer frame with a metal slide that is finished like a gun finish should be.....blue or stainless that will last.

Kel tec has one feature that I wonder how they did this.....check this out.....

When the mag release is pressed the mag "drops free" ...BUT
if the gun is in your pocket the mag will not fall out. It will stay in the gun. If you put your finger about an inch under the gun and press the mag release.....the mag just stops....right where you stopped it and it stays there!

Saying a Cobra is the same as a Kel-Tec is like saying a Mustang is the same as a Camaro.[:D]
