That is bad news. Nothing to heal a broken rib but time.
You must have really been excited loading that nice Vette up.
Hope you are feeling better soon so you can take the Vette for a drive.[8D].

Dang SF! Don't be so old and hard headed next time ( as if I take my own advice[}:)]) and see a local doctor for some pain relief!

Glad the car met your expectations, and when you feel better, post some pictures for us. Meanwhile, take care of those ribs. They are a slow and painful healing process.

Sandy and I will say a specific pray for ya' buddy! Been ther, done that, and don't ever want to again!

PS, Glad you didn't crack you skull or worse! Someone was watching out for you!

    Keep em wrapped and relax!

I have never broken any, but have brused them before and I know it must hurt like hell!

Dr.s do not recommend any wrappings on ribs these days. Keeps the lungs from expanding. Just got to let them heal on their own and it takes about 6-8 weeks. I would hit some of the bumps on the interstate and just grab the steering wheel hard and let out a gut wrenching groan. Glad to be home. Can't drive on the medication I have either. So it is lazy/boy chair time and movies during the day.

Take it easy and do what the Doc tells you. Busted ribs are painful, but heal if you take it easy. Glad to hear the Vette was more than you hoped for.

I would say that perhaps this is a portent of things to come in your relationship with your Corvette...Karma.

    Hope not.

Best wishes for a quick recovery.

You can stop a sneeze by putting slight pressure on a pressure point below the nose...Hope you heal up soon.

Should have parked the truck and trailer, and driven the Corvette home!!!

Could have made it 1/4 the time.

Seriously, hope you feel better. My brother cracked 2 ribs out in the middle of the Atlantic and didn't get off the ship (didn't tell anyone) for about a month. What can I say, I got the brains. But he says that it is very painful.

Post some pics of the new ride.

Remember not to sneeze, laugh or cough. If you do you'll do it will help you to remember not to do it again. Been there done that. Hold a pillow to your chest that will help some when you cant stop the dreaded cough.Take care of yourself.

That's probably the best description of that ride home. The car is great. OW! What a great car. Ow! etc, etc, etc for 775 miles. Wow. I can't wait to see pictures of the car that was worth all that!
