Exactly. He ran a very clever race. He knew the "big one" was bound to happen, and stayed back in the smaller packs of cars for the entire race, to avoid that scene.
Jeff was taught by some of the best, Dale Sr. being one of them, and he has a lot of talent and savvy. He knew that that the leader of this race was a sitting duck. He led for less than 1/2 lap. And won, by putting his rear bumper in the right place at the right time.
Like him or not, he is probably the smartest driver in NASCAR.
His win yesterday was brilliant.
Jimmy J. is a good driver, but has some to learn. So is Tony, and ditto. F-Bombs after the fact don't accomplish much. You can bet they and others are watching the tape of that race today, and learning from it...0 -
