NASCAR SUCKS RANT!!!
My contempt for Brian France and Gary Nelson and how they have ruined NASCAR is heard before but I'll say more.
The Nextel Cars are the SLOWEST cars at Dover. The Busch cars are faster. Shoot, the trucks are even faster. Rusch and Everham are right. The COT, which is more like the Car of the 80's, should never have gotten off the ground. It is a failure. It is the Edsel of NASCAR!
NASCAR and Goodyear's collusion of tire "leasing" is a lame freaking joke. Tires are "leased" to teams at every event in order to limit and control the amount of tires a team has so that the teams are limited to the amount of research and development. Seems to me this is classic collusion and a monopolistic practice. WHO THE HECK IS NASRAR TO TELL GOODYEAR HOW THEY CAN AND CANNOT SELL TO!
The great thing about Nascar was the were no unions, collusion. Every team was completely independent . If you weren't fast enough, you didn't make the race. Not anymore. It's a lame ass controlled joke of a sport.
NASCAR can't convince me the COT is any safer. If the Car of TOmorrow is any safer, then why is NASCAR still allowing drivers to get in to the old death traps at most tracks. If the Car of Tomorrow is safer, then logic says The Car of Today is Unsafe at any Speed! NASCAR has only used the death of Dale Earnhart as an excuse to bring in the UNIVERSAL BODY.
Inspite of what Darrell Waltrip, FOX, and NASCAR tells us, The Car of Tomorrow sucks!
I'm glad todays race is rained out! At least the Chicago Cubs are playing.

i dont really watch nascar, my uncle Kese (case) loves it though, they have a big 5th wheel camper, and they live in delaware, so they go to all the monster mile races, but it seems like nascar it not what it once was. Driving the fastest you can in a circle. 0 -

I take the Rant Further.
I quite watching the Hydro Plane races when the turbine powered boats arrived.
It was never the same after that.
I used to love watching the older boats with piston powered airplane engines and all the noise that accompanied them.0 -
I agree, Capt. Nascar has become nothing more than "professional" wrestling. The homogenization has taken away the imagination. Smokey Yunick is probably screaming and rolling over in his grave. COT translates into Copy Of a Turd. Restrictor plates make no sense what so ever. I guess it was meant to keep the Chevrolets competitive. And why should Goodyear be the only tire you can use? I can see restricting the amount of tires per race to keep the cost incheck and make the drivers and crewchiefs stay on their toes, but letting GY monopolize is BS.

The cars don't remotely look like what Chevy and Ford produces.
I always thought NASCAR had a heavy Chevy bias against Ford
MArk MArtin got screwed out of a champoinship...I bet if he was driving a Chevy at the time (and I still believe NASCAR has a bug up its collective ass against Jack Roush) adn driving for another team he wouldn't have been penalized.
It ain't the same sine Dale Sr. died. Love him or hate him, he was the spice that NASCAR dearly lacks today.
WWWAAYYY to corporate...all the pretty boy drivers have to behave jsut right...Jeffie and Jimmie...at least Stewart flies off the handle once in a while and makes it iteresting...

i stopped watching nascar when they became celebrities. i have been a drag racer for 15 years and i like real racers and not hollywood billionaires. 0
