Now that I am retired from military service, just a tad over $400 a year for my entire family - pretty hard to beat IMHO. 0 -
We pay like $400/month (family plan) through my wife's job. Mine would be more. 0 -
I pay $500/Month, for two. Medical only, not Dental. $20 copay for Doctor's visit, $10 Copay for prescriptions, 100% of reasonable and customary charges if from a particular network (after $200 co-pay), or 80% if I choose a Doctor/Hospital out of the network, up to $2500 out-of-pocket expenses every year, then 100% of remainder. 0 -
$360/month, covers myself and my bride. 0 -
i don't freaking have any. my company doesn't offer it and nor does preston's. I work for a family owned company and most of the family are "high risk" resulting in high rates. they have personal insurance policies which is what i will end up needing to purchase. DOESN'T THAT BLOW!!!!?!?! i need insurance bad; it's my biggest delima. 0 -
What insurance companies are being used by those of you paying your own way? I am looking..... 0 -
I used nationwide. It was $160 for the wife and I. 0 -
I have rocky mountain here
through the wife its twice as expensive as it would be on my own, 350 for me alone on the family plan.175 if i got my own.0 -

Tricare Prime Remote. What do you pay for my health insurance? 0 -
$460/month through Blue Cross/Blue Shield. That is until January 1 when it will probably go up the annual 20% increase and then in March, when I turn 45, it will probably go up another 30%.[:(][:(] My wife works in public school system and it would be quite a bit more expensive through her job than I pay privately. With as many teachers in the state school system, their rates should be a lot lower. Our local school board tried to leave the state program and go with it's own, but the state Board of Education wouldn't allow it. Something stinks to high heaven on that one. 0 -
Anybody that's young and single and in a pinch for money should check out Blue Cross Blue Shield for one of their insurance policies with a high deductible. It's designed for catastrophic type ailments and injuries. That way if you ever have a problem that causes a long stay in the hospital it won't put you in the poor house. Of course it's not going to help much with normal everyday medical expense's but that's why it's priced so low.

i dont have health insurance. when you are young and healthy its a waste of money. in the last 10 years i have paid an average of $200 a year on health care. 0 -
$240/year with Blue Cross/Blue Shield for just myself. It's through the company I work for, no dental included.

It must be nice....
As a Federal Employee on Guam they want me to surrender half of every months pay for family healthcare thru one sole approved provider.
I can't see how anyone gets it when the average power bill is $500 month here now. Homes cost 1/4 mill....how anyone affords it is beyond me.
Our only healthcare is space available into the Navy Hospital, but that is going to end soon. When the 3rd Marines move from Okinawa to Guam....no more space available healthcare for retirees.
We will be under Tri-not-Care Standard...which is a Federal program where you pay for everything yourself and file claims....and maybe will get something back. [xx(]
I wish I could get Blue Cross/Blue Shield.0 -
I pay 200/month for health, dental, and eye. When looking for a job that is one of the big factors on if I will take the job or not. 0 -
$387.00 a month just for myself.
The fiance' is a state employee, and pays virtually nothing, although my benefits are better, especially on "scrips".
May have to actually get married someday, and go on hers![:D][8D]0 -

I found that Kaiser had several plans that were reasonable when I purchased insurance for my son. He is now 21 and on his own, he must find his own insurance, I'm retired and can't afford to continue to pay for his insurance.
We paid about $1200 a month for the three of us for two years until I went on Medicare. Now I pay about $400 for the wife alone.
Its very expensive and the high cost can be traced back to the cost of medical malpractice insurance and lawsuits against hospitals and doctors. Need to put a cap on the pain and suffering type of lawsuits to bring it back down to a reasonable level.0 -
$602/monthly Just for me (Mega life). Yes Its high, but its also a savings plan. If I stick with them till I am 65 with no major issues, I will receive a rebate check for the amount I put in. About +-175k. 0 -
i pay about 110 a month for medical dental and vision life insurance and another life insurance which is free from the company..my company also offers 401k and will match upto 3% of what you put into it maximum of 6% i believe...I'm using United health care....this is dirt CHEAP as well considering i am an industrial radiographer 0 -
I have Tricare Standard (free) and a supplement from my curent employer ($75/month) and I get NO medical bills or co-pays at all. Dental/vision is $32/month. 0 -
360 a month covers my family, 500 deductable per person, 20 copay on all meds.
5 years ago I was paying 10.00 a month [}:)]0 -
Wish that I could swap with some of you.
I pay $843 mo. just for my wife as I am 66. She has an artifical valve in her heart for 10 years . Takes two pills per day. Can do anything she wants (Climbs deer stands etc.) If we let it lapse don;t think anyone will take her. She will be 65 in another year.
HOPE I CAN HOLD ON .0 -
The wife and I each pay $400 a month. As soon as our son is on his own we'll join one policy (hers)and have my county contribution rolled over into retirement. 0 -
....Remember it's private companys that takes your money and they expect to make an outrageous PROFIT ! out of u all....
If the goverment owns the healtcaresystem they dont need to squeze all that much money out of ya.
and there's some other largescale operation advantages your "Hillarycare" can benefit from...
I even know some other nifty tricks [8D]0
