    ... by the way ... these guys were fishing at Fort Peck Resevoir in Northeastern
    Montana and caught a 7x7 point bull elk on the bottom of the lake
    that had drown.

    It happens a lot in Idaho. Elk drowning, that is. When they come down from the high country and there is ice on the lakes they go through the ice and drown.

    The lost 150 elk a couple years ago at one particular place. The Fish and Game Department put a bubbler (which kept ice from forming)at the crossing place and saved a lot of elk.
