Your GB message forum posture?

Is it a bull session at morning break over coffee and donuts? Is it a formal meeting between a seller and potential buyer? Is it an amusement? Are we friends, or just neighbors who don't get along? Are you being cagey or trying to make yourself look good?

    Edit: Also, sometimes I'm looking for advice from a crew who generally is inclined to provide it (along with a little ribbing), sometimes I'm looking for a sounding board to see how what I think measures up to what others think, sometimes I'm looking a little support when things aren't going so well, sometimes I'm just sharing a little humor, and sometimes I'm giving stuff away that I think others on this board might like to use. Oh yeah, and sometimes I'm just tooting my own horn, because most people around here will cheer with me if I choose to cheer myself. Sometimes I allow myself to get into fights or even pick them by presenting opinions that I know fly counter to the beliefs of other members, but I try to restrain myself in that regard.

    That pretty much covers it for me too. Plus, living very rurally and being mostly housebound, it's a good way to social/world events and news without watching news all day. Gives me something to do between buying/selling/listing.[:)]

    Except my favorite coffee shop is closed, now that St*rb*cks invaded. It's too bad St*rb*cks is not a coffee house.
    I like talking here to people who have interests similar to mine. It's convenient, and always available.

    As I've said before, I am supervisor in a union shop. I have to be very careful what I say and how I say it. At home, wifey doesn't want to hear what I have to say. On this forum, no one cares what I say or how much I say it.
