2 Smoke alarms and the Dog
1 AM and WTH... two smoke alarms went off. Both in two bedrooms. Scared the dog and he has come to my side of the bed to get me up.. Battery back up in both of them decided to quit at the same time. What is the odds of that?

Pretty good if both batteries were last replaced at the same time. 0 -

We have six alarms in the home. All installed by the builder. Three have been replaced before last night. I am changing the other one today.[:D] 0 -
Some smokealarms have a wireless alarmsignal, so if one smokealarm detects something - they all go off.
But when they lack battery, they usually just give off a single BEEP-sound, once every 5-10 minutes or so.
It drove me and my parents close to nuts when that happened - we heard something that sounded like a grasshopper once every 5-10 minutes.0 -
They always seem to lose the batteries in the middle of the night. Ours has done it around 2am every time its happened. 0 -
