100 IEDs.......unreal

None of them were fighting. All they're doing is driving. How could you ever relax for a second on any given day!?
How can the military fight this? It's much easier for a terrorist to produce an IED than it is for us to produce a Humvee, ship it over there and put a handful of men in it.
If they wanted to nuke Iraq tomorrow until there wasn't a single living microbe left in the entire country, I'd be all for it. I'll push the button if they need somebody.
If they want to let the terrorists keep playing the IED game and killing a handful of Americans a day as we accomplish nothing, I'm not for it and think we need to get the hell out NOW! You can't win a war like this.
There is no plan (in place now) capable of fixing this god-forsaken country. We need to either:
a.) Give them 30 days notice. If EVERY SINGLE PERSON doesn't pitch in to control the violence... if every person doesn't turn over every terrorist they see and stop the IEDs, if ONE soldier gets killed by enemy fire.... Then we need to quietly remove as many innocents as possible before we wipe out the entire country like a plague. No human being survives.

b.) GO HOME!
There aren't any other answers to this insanity!!!
Right now, they've taken option c.), which is, Be as PC as possible, while accomplishing nothing. Do the bare minimum to occupy the country while contractors help make some polititicians rich and also to show we haven't given up so nobody looks bad. Complete B.S.!!!!!!!!!!

We are nothing but a "police force" over there at this point,..........much like the course of Vietnam. We are there to be targets, and draw them out, so 2 or 3 can be shot, and a success can be declared. This is not war, it is our soldiers in a PC shooting gallery.

Denmark just lost a soldier last week.
But that's how the world is now.
How else would we expect them to fight back ?
Surely we can't expect them to fight fair - they don't have the same weaponry or number of people.
How would any of YOU - as civilians - fight back if an overwhealming force was about to run your neighbourhood down.?
You'd put your effort where the chances are it'll hurt the most.
They know we have to use roads to get around - ok, so they put a bomb at a roadside and a guy sitting somewhere eith a button and clear view - just waiting.
Mimimum effort - and a good chance to hurt or scare people.0 -

I'm reading the book In Mortal Danger by Tom Tancredo. In one chapter, he talks about their visit to Russia after the Beslan school massacre in 2004.
I had no idea how bad that was. It makes all of our school shootings combined look like NOTHING!
*ISLAMIC* militant terrorists, took over that school with teachers, parents, and kids of all ages inside. They held these people hostage for THREE DAYS in sweltering heat. More than 1000 people in a 40 x 80 ft gym for 58 hours. The kids were so damn thirsty, some drank their own urine.
In the end, shooting broke out and the terrorist started setting off ball bearing ladened bombs and shooting everybody in sight. One, dressed in military fatigues posing as the police, coaxed a crowd of children over to him before setting off his explosive device. They killed all they could.
In the end, officially they killed 331 civilians, of which 156 were children. Unofficially, the casualties were likely double these numbers.
Time for us to wake up, IMO. If we don't get a REAL handle on this situation (not a fantasy like Iraq right now), we're doomed.
Islam is not a peaceful religion and should be banned IMO.0 -

If we can't finish this thing off , then pull out and nuke it all. Are troops would be better off. We'll be paying five bucks for a gallon of gas, but we won't be paying for troops and gear with are tax money..With the money we could save, we could help the G.I.'s that were injured. 0 -

The Sunni Shiite muslims will go at each others throats. The only reason a full scale civil war hasn't broken out yet is because the US provides a target that they can somewhat collectively fight against. But when we leave, and there's no more "Imperialist Americans" to kill, they will start killing each other.0 -

I have a brother over there he was part of the special forces teams that where on the ground in the begining. he has since served in Afghanistan, before being wounded and sent back to germany. he is now in bagdad working for blackwater company.0 -
you know what i would do, i would make the towns religious leader go out everyone day with american convoys. i bet the "random" IED attacks would stop pretty quick. personally, watching those videos makes me sick. sick that the american government still wont fight those savages to WIN !! 0 -
