G-dang Cop!!

I haven't had a ticket of any kind in nearly 10 years. But last night about 9:30 I was driving home and going through a small town in north west Tennessee. Talking on the cell-phone to my wife (using my blue tooth head set, so both hands were on the wheel!). Just got into town and BANG! BLUE LIGHTS! I turned on the blinker and looked for a place to get safely off the road. After about a block and a half found a florist and pulled off the road. As soon as I stopped BOOM! The brightest dang spotlight I have ever seen came on! Nearly burnt my retinas! I rolled down the window, but one arm on the door with hand out, the other hand on top of the steering wheel, so the copper could see both when he walked up. After about 5 minutes he approached the door. YOUNG GUY! Looked like he had just graduated from JR. HIGH! He said, "How you are, sir? Having a nice night?" I said I was until just now. He said, "Well, I clocked you at 51 in a 30 there. A little fast. What's the hurry? You aren't drunk or on meth or anything are you?" (He did kinda chuckle when he said the last) I told him I had no excuse but in no way was I impaired, just talking to my wife, letting her know when I would be home, and just had my head in the clouds. Then he said, "Well, I see you have KY plates on your vehicle. Just slow it down a little and be careful." CAN YOU BELIEVE THE NERVE OF THAT GUY! Letting me go with just a warning. I can't believe it! I got his name and badge number and will call his supervisor Monday morning and let him know what a rotten cop he has out on the street and what an unprofessional moron he was to me!! [:o)]

DISCLAIMER: The above is SARCASM! The cop was super nice, super polite, and was a pleasure to deal with. But dang, he WAS YOUNG! I am going to write the chief of police in that town Monday and let him know what a fine young officer this guy is, or seems to be. After all the "bad cop" crap on here, thought I would post something positive about a cop for a change.
