Past lives ... are you a believer?
Hey guys, I have a serious question for you. Do any of you believe in past lives? Once I have a few answers, I will disclose the reason for me asking this...

I am in fact a believer, been way to many places that I had never been before or seen a picture of and had the feeling of deja vu (sp) to the point of knowing wheresome fresh water springs and trails were. 0 -
I really don't believe in past lives. I think God gives us insite to what we are doing, where we have been and where we are going. 0 -

Yep, I can see that - and conversely, Hindus who deify humans, and beliefs about gods sleeping with women, probably don't cotton to believers who completely accept, by faith alone, that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky, either.

That's one subject that I'm open on. Like a lot of folks I've experienced the "deja vu" thing. And have no explanation for it. I guess I do believe somewhat.....but with reservations. Izzat that confusing enough for you?

I didn't really, prior to reading Dr. Weiss' book, Many lives, Many masters in the early 90's and hearing his lectures. Now, I'm somewhat of a believer but have no personal experiences in my life about any possible past life.

Yes, but when you express your thoughts you seem to infer certain things to others.
I could be wrong, but you seem to infer that you are one who believes that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering ... and yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

My belief is that I don't make the rules, God does. It is called the bible. I just stated that Jesus loves you. How do I know this? Because he loves me, and if he could love me, he could love anybody. 0 -
Of course. It is impossible for a single life to bring you into balance. It's possible that your energy disperses into the either, but the out of body experiences, children who can vividly recall past experience and named friends, and hypnotic regression, among other things, seems to discount that possibility.
It is certainly much more logical than the simple minded superstition of the all powerful heavenly father. It can even be validated with axioms of science, that energy can be neither created or destroyed, only changed.
Consider this example; If a soul is radio waves of music, and your body is a radio, what happens if the radio gets broken as in dies? The soul simply finds another radio to once again become audible music.
There must be a reason for living since everyone wants to so much. It all goes back to learning how to live and treat people in the temporal existance we call a body. Perfection is the goal and Karma is your report card.
The people that already know this need no religious okay to live life while the ones that don't can't comprehend it. They must content themselves with superstition and dogma. They are the very ones that will have a few more lives to come back to.0 -

I have had Deja Vu quite a few times over the years.
The last one was last summer and I was actually telling myself what was going to happen next. I had been there before no doubt about it!
I dreamt about having a Duja Vu about a Deja Vu. Thinking about that dream still messes me up.0 -

Life is a transitory illusion. Death is the ultimate reality. Our bodilly matter may suffer, even die, but the energy we create, our acts, for good or evil, lives on long after us, and have an effect on others.0 -

and besides, it would also mean that wherever you came from wasnt perfect, because you died.
GOD promises life FOREVER AND EVER with Him when you repent and except him as your saviour thru jesus.
the bible says very clearly that we are appointed to die ONCE, then judgement. not 30 times and get a different world to try again.

All of the folks that I have encountered that had "been X in a former life" had been princesses, generals, or some form of high muckety muck. They could remember everything EXCEPT how to speak the language they had lived with for an entire lifetime. When the day comes that I meet someone that in a former life was a Roman farmer, who speaks early latin with an Italian accent- my belief would increase quite a bit.[:p] 0
