Electrical taped MAG-LITE

Thought I would pass this on for everyone who uses a MAG-LITE. Take electrical tape and wrap it up good and tight, making a 1 1/2 wide area where you grip the Lite. If you use a big Lite tape two good and tight rings on it. You would not believe the added grip you get when your hands become wet or sweaty from stress. I think most LEO's will not find this as a surprise. But give it a try and see if it doesnt triple your grip. You cant see it because it blends in with the color of the Lite. Hope this helps someone!

My Recharble Mag is a 4 cell, but I have some at home that are 4 and 5 D cell. It works great.

    Try and see which of these places have the best price. www.galls.com or www.streichers.com . I usually deal with one of the two companies even for my own use. If this doesnt help, let me know and I will check on another place or two.

    Batteries can be replaced with regular ones. just don't put it back on a charger.

    the rechargeable sticks can be bought for about $30.

    I wouldn't put tape on the outside of my Mag Lite, but we all used to tape the battery stick so it wouldn't flop around inside the housing. Made it a lot more solid.

    they should just make the knurling better. I don't get why they make it so slick in the first place.

    yeah that's them Don. Ebay can do about the same deal as that. Thanks though.

    I got a AA sized mag lite that i keep in my tool pouch.I put 8 or 10 wraps of electricial tape on the end where you install the batteries.When you need both hands(as I often do working on fire suppression panels)you just pop it in your front teeth.the tape keeps you from chipping your teeth.
