That size is fine,..........the thread just will continue to be "stretched" horizontally, until you change the first pics.
It is no big deal to me,.......but some will complain, at a point.

Didn't have anything this season, with finding orphaned squirrels.
It has been a few years for me, since I have saved one.
If someone has never had the experience, they don't realize how gentle, and smart that they are. They are not just a tree dwelling, non-nocturnal rat!0 -

I simply kept them alive until I could release them. Taught them how to search for food,..........plenty of acorns around here.
I did not keep them long, and maybe that was what your issue was, or they were just different.
Not anything that I wish to make a life mission out of,........I mainly watch them now finding ways to eat out of my "squirrel proof" bird feeders.
A wild animal belongs in the wild, and probably should be left to the consequences of survival of the fittest, or released ASAP.
You are correct,......they are not pets, although I have seen folks that have done that. I personally don't believe that is right.
The little "buggers" have got some heavy duty inscisors,........duh, they can go through a walnut shell in seconds.0 -

Oh yes,..........they will chew through anything that water is running through.
Never had it in my house, but they drink from my A/C condensate drain.
I have had to replace it numerous times becuase in the winter, even in Florida, there is very little water in there,........they chew down the fitting until they can lick it.
Also have had them chew on my well lines, although never all the way through.
They know where water is,............now,I have a birdbath, that refills, and they drink out of the rim of that, and no more problems with the other issues.0 -
