What's it worth?
I must start this out by saying I've only been a member on Gunbroker for about 6 weeks. I've sold 6 or 7 items on here. I've done my best to be fair and truthful with all those I've dealt with.
Now here is what I've notice just in the short time I've been a member here: SOME OF YOU SELLERS ARE HALF LOCO!
The price you're asking for your items are as much or more than what a person could buy it new. If you want to sell your items, be fair. This is an auction sight. If you want to sell your items, start them off at a fair price! I've seen items that people start out at $18.95, with a buy it now price of 20.95. Heck, I can get the item new for less somewhere else. If you're wondering why your handgun, rifle or other item is not selling. Look at what you're asking for it. I know what some of you are saying right now! It's worth it! Maybe to you. We all want to think our items are worth more. The truth is, most people want to buy it but not at new price.

I have a Remington 700 ADL .270 that was made in 1981, it has the nice wood and blue job that they don't have today. It has only 10 rounds fired through it and is in mint condition, the scope is a Simmons 3X9X40. I'm thinking of selling it because I can't hunt deer with it in Ohio and it's too big for varmints. Any feedback would be appreciated.

please post a link to all your auctions so I can get these good deals.
I would like a shot at all your Fair deals.0 -
I think for some people this forum is an excuse. The wife says 'you have too many guns, get rid of some". They say "sure, no problem". Put a Jennings on the boards with a reserve of $500.00, and a buy it now of $2500.00.
"Damn hon, I've had it listed for a month, and no bids....the market is really soft right now".0 -
If you don't like my prices, buy somewhere else. There is another guy right behind you who wants mine. 0 -
I might see a a point or three here even in my speciality...antiques.
But
""Damn hon, I've had it listed for a month, and no bids....the market is really soft right now".
Hehehe that might just explain it...For instance i have this Remington 1858 with quite a lot of dings on the highly polished surface...But the lands and groves (rifling) is almost as new on this.
bout 150 years old piece of goodguy cowboy and liberty fighting piece of art...But i should really sell it though...I already have a coupple of Remingtons in bether average condition....Except the rifling that is just close to unbelieveable good on this one.
Ps i could let it go for 2500 usd ofcource...[;)]0 -

It's an auction site, if you think the prices are too high.....don't bid. If the seller wants to sit on it, he will adjust the price as he sees fit, when he wants to. It's not the Goodwill. 0 -

Ouch! A few of you folks are ruthless. Guess you need to be that way to survive. I do understand and find the banter amusing. Thanks for the insight into what it will take make a name here.
