Radio shack has the type that you can put on any phone in the house and it'll record all calls through out the house no matter what phone is being used. Actually a phone doesn't even have to be hooked to the outlet. Just the unit it's self will do. It comes with a cord that you run from the wall outlet to the unit and to the tape recorder. It's automatic when a call comes in or goes out it starts recording and when the phone is hung up it cuts off. They're not expensive at all.

Hey! isn't the Department of Homeland Security authorized for warrantless wiretaps? Just have your friend start screaming "Death to the Infidels!" randomly whenever he's on the phone and the men in dark sunglasses will be along shortly to help.

Make sure it is legal in your state...It is a felony in some states.

It's called a Smart Phone Recorder Control. It records phone calls from any and every phone in the house from one wall jack in a remote location.

All it needs is a tape recorder to hook it to and a wall jack. It doesn't need a phone on that jack either. It automatically starts the recorder when the phone is answered and cuts it off when the phone is hung up.

Someone said it might be against the law. I doubt if he cares at this point anyway if he catches her but it's his house and it's his phone that he pays the bill for so I personally wouldn't care myself what the law says, I'll record whatever I want to in my own house. Besides that he doesn't even have to tell anyone where he got the info if he doesn't want to.

1911a1Fan...Your post about your friend catching his wife via scanner made me laugh....About five or six years ago, my wife and I were watching TV and I had the scanner on. When it scanned the 800 range, it would pick up a neighbor's cordless phone. We heard her SEVERAL times talking to her "boyfriend" about how many "BIG O'S" he had given her previously. It was hilarious!! This went on for about two weeks, almost every night. I lived in a small town and we knew immediately who it was. I saw her just the other day...it's hard not to laugh every time I see her!!![}:)]

It seems there was a computer program that was capable of recording
calls..if hooked to the same line. For myself, something like that
    would be the most practical.
