World War II News Reels
If this has been posted before, forgive me, but I found these today while doing some geneology work. Lots of the WW2 era newsreels posted at ancestory.com. Kept me busy all afternoon!

There was a show on the military channel,I think it was called WWII in color.It was very different to see hitler in color than in black and white.I heard that they quit showing it cuz "It glamorized him". Dont know if theres any truth to that though.If it comes on again yall should check it out. 0 -
There was a great Discovery Channel show a few months back that used the services of a
professional lip reader and an advanced computer software (lip reading) that documented
the dialogue on a lot of those silent Hitler films, ie. a quiet evening at home, meeting delegations of children, talking to his generals, etc. Hitler has purposely not recorded the film with sound tracks - I forget why - but if you see anything about a rerun ... don't miss it ... fascinating! Wish I had taped it.[8D]0 -

It's still on, usually late at night when I can't sleep. Can't remember the name of it now, but it is pretty good.0 -
