CHEYENNE, Wyo. -
Robin Munis told police her estranged husband made a harassing telephone call to her on Friday, just hours before she was shot in the head and killed while singing in a band and a local restaurant.
Customers of the Old Chicago ran - to a bathroom, a walk-in refrigerator and anywhere else they could find cover as a black pickup truck drove slowly out of the parking lot and sped away.
Police on Sunday were still searching for her estranged husband, David Munis, 36, a Wyoming Army National Guard member with sniper training.
Robin Munis' regular job was with the Wyoming Department of Health, but she was singing with the classic rock and country group Ty and the Twisters when she was shot.
"At first we thought it was just a speaker blowing up or something. I looked over and saw her on the floor," said Travis Brooks, who had been sitting at the bar.
Brooks said he wasn't sure where the gunshot came from when he saw the glass door break. He and others crawled toward the kitchen and took cover in a small bathroom.
"Everyone was in shock," he said. "I don't know what to think."
Others took cover in a walk-in refrigerator. Meanwhile, people outside said they saw a black Dodge pickup truck drive slowly out of the parking lot, then speed away.
Police said they were looking for a black, four-door, 1999 Ram pickup truck. They also were investigating where the shot might have originated.
"We're not certain where he was when he took the shot," police Capt. Jeff Schulz said. "It could have been in the parking lot. It could have been a long ways away. We don't know that."
Schulz said police were watching a couple homes, including one in the Cheyenne area.
Munis is due to become a second lieutenant next month, according to Wyoming Guard spokeswoman Deidre Forster.
Forster said Munis' job is to promote Camp Guernsey, a military training area about 100 miles north of Cheyenne. She said Munis joined the Guard in April 2003 and came from the regular U.S. Army, where he went to sniper school.
The couple had recently separated, and the victim had complained about receiving a harassing telephone call from her husband on Friday, Schulz said.

Me and the wife were in this bar the night before it happened. The next day a guy came in to my store claiming to one of my cashiers that his wife had been shot the night before and could not go home. 0 -

I don't, but considering 99% of trained snipers use bolt actions, I'll bet a dollar against a donut it was. I guess we'll see when he's caught and the rifle is recovered.0 -
It is no longer called a bolt action rifle. It is now only to be referred to as a sniper rifle. [:(!][xx(] 0 -
Bolt actions have been around well before we were born, I donot see a ban on those weapons, autos maybe 0
