"Emergency" cell phone chargers
Has anybody here bought and used one of those gadgets that came out a year or so ago?
The one I mean is made by (I think) Eveready and is powered by (I think) standard AA batteries. They aren't so much of an actual charger as just a temporary source of power for your cell phone if it dies on you and you don't have, say, a charger in your vehicle.
I was thinking about getting one only to find out that my local "Big Box" store has discontinued them. I was wondering if they quit carrying them because of slow sales or was there possibly a problem with the things that would make buying one a waste of time and money?

For what those things cost just buy another battery and keep it charged up as a spare. 0 -
