Gift from my father
My father gave this to me last week as a gesture of thanks for all that I do for him and my mother.I tried to explain to him that I help them out anytime they need it with no expectations of retribution because that is what family is for,to help one another.His reply,"Exactly,I dont hunt anymore, but I do love venison."as he handed me the rifle.

Also I am like you,........I helped my mom, and stepdad out far above my calling, and they offered all kinds of things to me. He is gone now, and I still do the same for my mom.
Nothing wrong with being "gracious", and taking what someone wants to do in return, for what you have done for them.
It actually hurts their feelings to be turned down. You are not a "taker", and they know that,.........accept their gift with thanks!Nice Rifle![;)]0 -
