Im installing an FM-200 system at Armstrong Flooring in Center Tx. They have this machine (called a lathe)that takes a 5' sweet gum log and spins it.Ablade comes forward and cuts a sheet about 3/16 thick.It will take that 28" dia. log and turn it into a sheet every bit of 75' long,Abd do it in 10 seconds.Man I get to see some really cool stuff.Ill try and get some video of it if I can.

  There's a veneer plant near me that does that. Turns a 20" oak log into a 75' sheet of veneer in seconds. Kind of like peeling an apple, only faster.
